It is harder than ever to go out and spend time outside of our home. This includes going to the gym but it is more important than ever to stay in good shape! Gyms have been given strict guidelines to ensure that gym goers are safe and feel comfortable during their workout. Although gyms have been given these guidelines there are also steps you can take yourself to lower your risk of exposure!
Practice Social Distancing: One of the best ways to limit your risk of exposure is to distance yourself from others. Maintaining 6 feet of space between you and others is a great way to reduce exposure!
Wash and sanitize frequently: Sanitize your hands when entering and leaving the gym. This will help reduce the amount of contagious particles from entering the gym. Be sure to wash your hands after you leave as well to ensure you don't bring any unwanted travelers you might have picked up from the gym.
Stay home if you feel ill: Not much to explain here! If you don’t feel well then please stay home! Give yourself time to rest and come back when you have recovered!
Come with a plan: If you come to the gym with a predetermined plan you can avoid getting distracted and work efficiently ultimately limiting the time you need to spend at the gym!
Bring your own water: Due to regulations, communal water fountains will not be operational so bring your own water!
Wear a Mask: You will be required to wear a mask when entering and exiting the gym, however during your workout masks are not enforced. Be sure the staff at your gym are wearing masks!
We understand it can feel scary to come into the gym but we want you to know we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety at the gym! We encourage you to come in and ask us any questions you may have, we are here for you!
